I was 45 when mum passed over 47 when dad went to join her. Life became nasty , I couldn’t come to terms with them not being here. It didnt seem to matter that I had a hubby, 2 girls one of which had just become a mum herself. Greif was nasty.

A year after dads passing I went to see a wonderful medium. She was light , bright and full of fun. “ Sit down I will just make you a coffee don’t worry your dads told me how you like it “. She said . I promptly burst into tears . “ He says you have an iron gullet bergi is that right ? “.

I stopped crying looked up Bergi was the name they called me. Hardly ever Bev. Dad apologized for calling me a liar, I looked puzzled.

Dad didn’t believe in life after death, he said all we were was a memory a picture on a wall. But he apologized, he was wrong. Dad said it was ******* brilliant up here. Mum was her sexy self. Nan and gramps and our uncles were not happy about my behavior since his passing and I got a big kick up the backside. He also thought it was halirous that I thought Reiki was another form of karate. Which the wonderful medium went on to explain what it was exactly . He even told me how much to save each week then I would be doing off my own back.

After the hour was up, the medium sat and I chatted for a while . My heart had lifted. I left with a smile on the way home I thanked my dad in return I heard that’s ok bergi we love you.

That was the start of my journey. That sunday I joined the manawatu spiritual centre. I have learnt Reiki, Chakra Balancing and healing techniques, Hot Rock Therapy and Hot Rock Massage. Worked on Spiritual Retreats with a wonderful group of people. Even had my own little group of people doing our thing once every month. I love this it brings peace to my soul.

I’ve joined a beautiful group and community that operates out of Wales by a wonderful Man called Julian Jenkins and I’ve never looked back. Julian’s group has grown , and now his students are now having development groups of there own…

Soon I hope to be stepping out of my own spiritual closet and having development groups of my own.
